Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-30
These terms apply when you use WebAuditFix (the "Service"), a website audit tool published by Data Vision IT Consulting Limited ("we", "us"). By submitting a URL through the Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1. The service
WebAuditFix is an automated audit of publicly reachable websites. When you submit a URL, our scanner makes a small number of HTTP requests to that URL, evaluates the responses against a fixed catalogue of technical checks (security headers, GDPR signals, NIS2 hygiene markers, technical SEO basics), and shows you the results with a score and remediation guidance.
Anyone can run a scan against any public URL at no charge. Results are
displayed at /results/<scan_id> and can be downloaded
as PDF, Markdown, JSON, or the substantially-expanded Premium Compliance
PDF (see §5) — all free, no account, no payment.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. There is no service-level agreement and no guarantee of uptime.
2. Acceptable use
You agree that you will:
- Only submit URLs that are publicly accessible on the internet, or that you are otherwise authorised to scan.
- Not use the Service to scan internal, intranet, or otherwise non-public networks.
- Not attempt to circumvent the per-IP rate limit, automate large volumes of submissions, or otherwise impair the Service.
- Not use the Service to support any unlawful activity, including unauthorised access to computer systems.
- Not reverse-engineer the Service or its check logic for the purpose of evading or attacking it.
We may decline requests, block IP addresses, or refuse to display results for URLs that we believe violate these terms.
3. How our scanner identifies itself
Our scanner uses the User-Agent
WebAuditFixBot/1.0 (+https://webauditfix.com/bot). The scanner
fetches your homepage and a small set of well-known paths
(/robots.txt, /security.txt,
/sitemap.xml, /privacy-policy, /cookie-policy,
and /.well-known/security.txt) — typically seven HTTP requests
total per scan. We do not crawl beyond those paths.
4. Rate limits
Each visitor (identified by IP address) is currently limited to ten scans per hour. We may adjust this limit without notice. If you have a legitimate need for a higher rate, email [email protected].
5. Premium Compliance PDF
The Premium Compliance PDF is a substantially-expanded version of the free PDF, produced at download time from the same scan. It includes a signed cover page, a methodology section, extended cross-stack remediation guidance per failed check (nginx / Apache / Cloudflare / WordPress / Flask / Express / Rails), an evidence appendix (response headers + robots.txt + security.txt + sitemap captured at scan time), a compliance-article mapping table tying every finding to the relevant GDPR / NIS2 / OWASP / RFC reference, and four printable A4 tick-box checklists as appendix pages.
It is free with every scan — available alongside the free Markdown / JSON formats from the results page. No account, no payment, no download cap.
The audit-context form on the results page optionally personalises the cover page with a requester name, role, organisation, audit scope, and intended audience. Filling it in is optional; the PDF renders with a generic cover when it isn't set.
6. Portal subscriptions
In addition to the free audit + free Premium Compliance PDF
(§§ 1, 5), we offer a paid subscription at
portal.webauditfix.com for users who need to manage
audits across multiple sites. These subscription terms supplement
the rest of this document; in the event of any conflict between
general terms and the more specific provisions in this section, the
specific provisions in this section govern the subscription.
Tiers and pricing. Subscriptions are offered in three tiers (Starter, Pro, and Founder) with the scan + site limits, feature set, and monthly price as listed on the Pricing page at the time you subscribe. Prices on that page are quoted ex-VAT. We may change pricing or tier composition prospectively; an active subscription is not affected until its next renewal, and we will notify the subscriber email address on file at least 30 days before any price increase affects them.
Billing cycle. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Payment is collected on the day you subscribe and on each renewal day thereafter. Renewals continue automatically until you cancel.
VAT. Irish VAT (currently 23%) is added at checkout for subscribers based in Ireland and for EU subscribers who have not provided a valid EU VAT number. Valid EU VAT numbers are reverse-charged automatically by Stripe under EU B2B rules. Subscribers based outside the EU are not charged Irish VAT.
Upgrades, downgrades, and add-ons. You can change tier at any time from the portal billing page. Stripe pro-rates the change against the current billing period; you only pay (or receive credit) for the time spent on each tier. Downgrades do not retroactively reduce limits already used in the current period.
Trials and promotional coupons. We may offer
no-card trials and time-limited promotional coupons (for example,
the no-card founder trial at /founder-trial
or the FASTLANE120 coupon for partner cohorts).
Trials and coupon credits apply only to the tier and duration
stated when offered, convert to a paid subscription at standard
pricing when they end unless cancelled, and are not exchangeable
for cash. We may limit the number of redemptions per coupon and
per account.
Cancellation. You can cancel any time from the
portal billing page (which opens Stripe's hosted Customer Portal
at billing.stripe.com). On cancellation, your access
continues until the end of the current billing period, after
which the subscription terminates. We do not pro-rate refunds for
the unused portion of a period that you have already been billed
for, except as described under EU consumer rights below.
EU consumer rights. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union (a natural person acting outside your trade, business, craft, or profession), you have a statutory right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU within 14 days of starting the subscription. By beginning to use the portal before the 14-day period ends, you expressly request and consent to performance starting immediately and acknowledge that you will lose the statutory right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed for the period. If you withdraw within 14 days and have not yet used the service materially, contact [email protected] and we will refund the period you paid for, less reasonable charges for any use during the withdrawal window.
Failed payment and suspension. If payment fails, Stripe will retry on its standard dunning schedule. If a renewal payment remains unpaid after Stripe's dunning sequence completes, the subscription is suspended; you can still sign in to recover scan history and re-enter payment details for a grace period of 30 days, after which the subscription is cancelled.
Termination for breach. We may suspend or terminate a subscription without refund if you breach §2 (Acceptable use), if we have a good-faith reason to believe the account has been used to facilitate unauthorised access to computer systems, or if the subscription is being used in a way that materially impairs the service for other users.
7. Audit results are guidance, not certification
WebAuditFix reports what was observable to our scanner at the time of scanning, based on open standards (IETF RFCs, W3C specifications, schema.org) and publicly documented behaviour of mainstream search engine crawlers. The results are intended as guidance for site owners. They are not:
- A substitute for a full security audit or penetration test.
- A certification of compliance with GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001, or any other framework.
- Legal, regulatory, or professional advice.
Acting on the results, including applying the suggested fixes, is your responsibility. We recommend that material changes to a production site are reviewed by qualified personnel before deployment.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the audit results are complete, accurate, or current.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Data Vision IT Consulting Limited or its officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damage.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, its source code, its check catalogue, and the WebAuditFix brand are owned by Data Vision IT Consulting Limited or its licensors. URLs you submit, and the audit results we generate from them (whether downloaded as the Markdown / PDF / JSON or as the Premium Compliance PDF), may be used freely by you — internally, with clients, in audit hand-offs — without further licence from us.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the Service.
