How to fix: Named author / credentials visible
Part of the Content Quality pillar on the Site Integrity Index.
Why this matters
Google's E-E-A-T ranking factors (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) weight visible authorship heavily — especially on compliance-adjacent pages. A named author with credentials outperforms anonymous corporate voice on both search rank and buyer trust.
Background
What it checks: a real named author (not "Admin" or the company name alone) with visible credentials is attached to the page. Why it matters: this is one of the more heavily weighted E-E-A-T signals for both search and AI-citation trust — anonymous or corporate-only bylines read as lower-trust sources.

Editorial content-quality signal — E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust) heuristic weighted heavily by both search ranking and AI-citation trust.
How to fix
Attach a real byline with a short credentials line — years of experience, relevant certifications — and link to an author bio page. Use `Person` schema alongside the byline, not just visible text. "Written by Jane Doe, CISSP, 12 years in application security" with a link to /about/jane-doe beats "WebAuditFix Team" every time.
Verify it's working
View source. Look for a byline block near the H1 with the author's name and a linked bio, plus a `Person` schema JSON-LD block referencing the same name.
